Omega-3 for kids!

Postby Canuck Singh » Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:23 am

Esterified omega-3 fatty acids appear to improve the attention of children, says a new study. Supplementation with ethyl-ester omega-3 fatty acids resulted in improvements to blood lipid profiles and Test of Variables of Attention (TOVA) scores amongst those with impaired attention performance. The trial was a randomised, double-blind clinical study.

This research is the strongest yet to show improved behaviour (ability to learn and concentrate) in children simply by incorporating the right nutrients (omega-3) into the diet. Supplementation with the ethyl-ester omega-3s provided a direct biochemical change that resulted in an improvement in a measurable performance test.

The question is, are your kids getting enough of the right omega-3’s?
